Olympic Thursday: Too much to watch

By Ina Fried

There are four TVs in the unofficial international press center and it is still not enough to capture all of the action going on right now.

On one TV is speedskating, the US is taking on Norway in hockey (leading 3-1 after the second period), and the CTV news channel is showing highlights on a third. On the fourth channel, I just saw Lindsey Vonn's chances for back-to-back golds go up in snow as she crashed after leading the downhill portion of the super combined.

Maria Riesch of Germany took the gold, Julia Mancuso of the U.S. took silver, while the fall allowed Anja Parson of Sweden to take the bronze, prompting the swede to do a belly slide on the Whistler snow.

That leaves the women's snowboard half pipe as the odd event out, althoguh it looks like that with the super combined now done, that channel is switching over to snowboarding.
